Human touch

Octopus have been very good to deal with while setting up my account. Anuranga was very helpful and responded to all my emails and questions and it made it so much easier to have someone to contact rather than doing it all online. I needed to call them today for 2 reasons, the call was answered within a couple of minutes, from a UK based agent, who spoke perfect English and was very clear, concise, helpful, and answered both enquiries. Request for Direct Debit to remain at it's present amount

I explained that as my account was in credit by an amount in excess of £200 and we are approaching a time when my consumption is likely to be lower, I wished my direct debit to remain at it's present amount rather than being increased as proposed in a recent e-mail. The lady to whom I spoke - Narasa - actioned this immediately and sent a confirmation e-mail.

Nejla, who dealt with our issue was incredibly helpful and had a very warm, helpful and positive attitude. Nothing was a problem and the goal was to solve the problem and not bat or away. She was very engaged at each step. Octopus are not perfect but they do not hide that. They own up when it's them at fault and point out of your at fault with no bad intentions. They have always been very good to us and staff like Nejla make the company what it is.

Brilliant

Just had (well 10 days ago ) a three phase smart meter installed …Was given a octopus home mini which after continuous calls from me saying did not work , and tried all the reset methods as advised still never worked , eventually Matt from customer service asked technical , of which they said it would never work with a three phase meter but a in home display would..One was promptly sent out, a quick phone call for them to add it to the system, bingo , 20 mins later all working, just happy customer ..So a big thank you to all the staff involved who dealt with my continuous calls , and bearing up with me , Brilliant job Thank you

I rarely need to call Octopus. I mean it's been a few years! But today I did, a few rings of the phone and I was talking directly to a real person.
